A gift to the Historical Society in honor of Louisa Kennedy. Poster dimensions: approximately 13 1/4" wide by 20" in height.

December 12, 1891. Certificate is handwritten and bears the seal of the Diocese of California. Manning owned The Mount Desert House in Somesville, where he and his family summered. Manning later became Bishop of the Diocese of New York. Ordained a priest (1891), he served parishes in California, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee and taught dogmatic theology at the Univ. of the South before becoming rector of Trinity parish, New York City, in 1908. This stereoscopic view is stamped E. Emery, Bar Harbor, Maine and is labeled Mrs. Jayne.
