Embroidered inscription reads, "When this you see / Remember me/ Athalaney Fly/ Mouonldefort [Mount Desert]/ August 26, 1824/ Aged 7 years / 3 months." Athlaney was the daughter of Patty Somes Flye and James Flye; she died at the age of 18 and is buried in the Flye Cemetery in Tremont. |
