This 7 and 1/2 by 10 inch molded plaque was given to the MDI Historical Society by Candy Emlen of the Southwest Harbor Library because of its connection with Howe Higgins. The Society received this article sometime in 2007. On the back is a typewritten explanation with the background of the '"sculptured lion," the "Lion of Lucerne."
