Charles Elliott Harwood who was the pastor of the Great Cranberry Island Congregational Church from 1894 to March 22, 1897. However, this is much later material pertaining to Church matters. Letters and a brochure between Howard Bacon and Estey Organ Corporation 1941, with notation "organ received Oct 2, 1941." Howard N. Talks of going to Bari, Italy on leave, his stationing in Termoli, Italy, changes to the town now that the war is over, where he has been stationed since being sent overseas and what he did in the various locations, doesn't know where they will be sent next.

He talks of a trip to visit someone and the meeting of a man (name hard to read), gives a physical description of the man, relates he is fluent in 3-4 languages.

Description: Letter from Mrs. Ralph Ross, mother of Lt. Ralph Ross Jr. who was friend and co-pilot on aircraft of which Mrs. Clark's son, Hoyt, was a gunner during WWII. When pilot of aircraft on which Hoyt Clark was a gunner. Lt. Ross died when the plane crashed (after end of war); Hoyt was not on the flight.
Description: Mrs. Ralph Ross sends copy of Rev. McKendry's letter to Mrs. Harry Clark following news of her son Ralph's death. Hoyt Clark, son of Harry Clark, was in the same unit as Ralph serving in the Pacific in WWII. Hoyt was not aboard the plane when it crashed.
Description: On letterhead printed with "Hares Lane Radnor Pennsylvania", the letter reads: Nov 27th 1948 To the Southwest Harbor Library Southwest Harbor, Me, I believe you have a painting of the old Clark Wharf which I loaned to the library years ago. This painting is still my property and I have [illegible] decided to present to the library [?] permanent possession. I only ask['ed' struck out] it be treated with respect and not sold or bartered. Painting of this size and character of mine have sold around $2500.00 and I consider this a good example of my work. If the Library committee decides to accept it for its permanent collection I would like a formal acknowledgement Very sincerely yours, Chas. Morris Young I would suggest that the painting be cleaned with a little ivory soap and cold water this will not harm it.
