Mickey Macfarlan who said that towards the end of his life Lew Stanley was hard up for money and could no longer repair the boatyard. Mickey said Lew was always complaining that people were stealing from the boatyard - the second floor of it was chock full of all sorts of things. Simply have the Library write saying they would like to have it, and that the library is a public institution and a non profit one; I would have to get the letter before Jan 1st 1964 to get a benefit on my income tax. Painting of this size and character of mine have sold around $2500.00 and I consider this a good example of my work.
