Description: Faculty members Eliot and Carpenter with student Tabbutt during the summer of 1971 an experimental pilot program brought 13 students and 3 faculty members to the college to test and evaluate certain aspects of the proposed curriculum. Participants in the summer program worked together in a multidisciplinary workshop, and joined the staff and trustees in raising and answering questions about the future direction of the college.

Description: Three real photo postcards of Bear Island Lighthouse affixed to a repurposed envelope. On all of the postcards the lighthouse is identified using blue ink. One postcard bears the additional inscription: "Our view from the point." The backside of this paper was at one time the exterior of envelope sent on June 4, 1945. Information about the sender and recipient can still be read. The return address has been cut, but the envelope was sent to Mrs. Edwin Corning, Northeast Harbor, Maine. Rambler was the third boat built by Bunker & Ellis for Thomas Reath of Philadelphia and Northeast Harbor, and was launched in 1957. The boat is seen passing a bell bouy painted with the number 15.
