Small portrait photograph (2.5" X 3") of Emma Whitmore as a little girl in leather case that closes with a clasp. Image is in gold-colored frame; red embossed velvet on facing side of case. Emma Whitmore raised Nell Whitmore, her niece. Joe Whitmore, a sea captain, was Emma's brother. Emma A. Whitmore: b. 6 November 1859; d. 14 October 1949 (per Vining, p. 344).
