Others may not be local points, some perhaps New Jersey origin. One 2" stone knife blade, broken, black (not obsidian) found GCI 2011 by visitor and later donated to GCIHS. The tip of the knife was broken off by the Captain of the ship to prevent murders, (perhaps this particular knife happened to be shaped that way). The knife was carried by Somes in the Navy during the Civil War. Henry Somes’ widow married Lewis Somes. She gave the knife to Glendon Lurvey. [show more]
