Knowlton, a nurse who went to live in Boston. Vilda ran a dry goods store from their home in McKinley, Maine, and advertised herself as a "dressmaker and dealer in dry & fancy goods." She also contracted for and sold postcards of the McKinley area. - “The Island of Mount Desert Register with The Cranberry Isles 1909-10,” compiled by Lawton, Jordan & Maddox, Auburn, Maine, Published by the Lawton-Jordan Co., p. 306 – 1909-1910 Vilda S.
